Appointments
Sessions
For many people, a lot can be achieved in just one session. Of course, there is the option for further sessions, often three sessions is about right. A follow up visit after a space of a couple of months can be helpful. Up to six sessions are possible if needed, under Medicare.
Locations
In room sessions are available in Nth Essendon. The rooms are located at Suite 14A, on the first floor of the Edge building on the corner of Keilor Rd and Berry St. There is two hour parking nearby, or use Stop 49 on the number 59 Tram. The building is accessible and has a lift.
Unless discussed prior to appointment, I prefer babies and children do not attend these sessions. Sessions at home or at other locations are available by arrangement prior. I am generally available Monday to Friday.

Working together /Follow up
If you are referred by your GP, psychiatrist or other treating health professional, feedback will be provided to the referrer. Reports will be provided for NDIS participants when requested.

Fees
For Medicare and privately funded clients, fees are listed below. Fees are payable on the day of consultation by Credit Card, Cash or direct transfer. A medicare rebate (if applicable) can be processed electronically for you as soon as the invoice is paid in full.
Cancellation fees may apply if less than 24hrs notice is given to cancel or change your appointment.
Medicare
If you have a current Mental Health Care Plan from your GP or psychiatrist you can claim a rebate from Medicare.

TAC/Workcover
Please tell me if you have a current Workcover or TAC claim. I have TAC and Workcover provider numbers.

Private Health Funds
If you are privately insured, your private health funds may cover the cost of Occupational Therapy, or counselling if you have suitable 'extras' cover. Please check with your insurer.

National Disability Insurance Scheme
Sessions are charged at the current rates listed for OT in the NDIS price guide at the time of referral. Participants who are NDIA managed, Plan Managed or Self Managed can all eligible if there are Capacity Building Funds in your plan. Referral can be initiated by a participant, an NDIS Local Area Coordinator, or support coordinator.

Rates
Initial Consultation in rooms: 1 hour $140.00 *less Medicare Rebate if applicable
Follow-Up Consultations in rooms: 50mins $125.00 *less Medicare Rebate if applicable
Consultation at home: 1 hour $150.00 *less Medicare Rebate if applicable

*Medicare rebates apply if you have a current Mental Health Care Plan and have not exceeded the maximum number of sessions on your plan in the current calendar year.
​
*Out of pocket cost after your Medicare rebate will be between $50-$60.
​
Consultation at home (within a limited radius) only by prior agreement -phone to discuss.

Cancellation fees apply if less than 24hrs notice is given.
